In between dark and light

On behalf of Leica Camera Austria, I accompanied the performance of the opera “Der Freischuttz” (stagig by Philipp Stolzl) at the Bregenz Festspiele in summer 2024. My artistic approach to the opera and my genuine interest in the stage and in the actors gave way to the creation of a serie of images that is far more than just a visual docuemntation of the performance.

I created pictorial worlds that goes beyond the visuality of the stage production. I takes the complexity of the emotional landscape of the opera and its theatrical mode of representation litterally under my lens.
